The clinic opens at 9.30 am and closes at 6pm. It is a specialized fetal medicine center and limited number of patients are booked everyday. Most of the patients come with prior appointment. Every scan is given ample time, so do not come in hurry and book your appointment telephonically or by direct approach whenever possible.
May be or may not be. It depends on multiple factors, which includes, the type of patients before you and the time taken for their scan, time required for your scan, any emergency patient coming midway etc.
Good and in depth work requires time and patience. Be assured to get best work done and come with preparations.
It depends on the type of ultrasound, and the common ones are as below-
- For Abdominal USG, remain empty stomach for at least 6 hours. You can take black tea[without milk] and water or juice. Do not come with completely filled bladder. Do it after assessing the waiting time, once you are in the clinic.
- For Pelvic USG, there is no need to remain empty stomach, you can eat anything. But full bladder is required. Remember to not come with completely full bladder and drink water as per the instructions from the receptionist.
- For USG of pregnancy, there is no need to come empty stomack. In fact, a pregnant woman should not remain empty stomach for more than 3 hours. Bring some fruits, juices, water, or any home made food item of your choice with you.
- For pregnancy less than 3 months, some amount of bladder distension is required. For more than 3 months, it is not usually required. If needed, you will be informed at the time of scan.
